They caused $1200 or damage by running into my gate and refused to pay
They refused to pay for the damages caused by running into my gate. Excuse - he is an independent contractor so not their problem.
I wouldnt pay balance because they wouldnt pay damages - so they threatened my credit- which is valuable to me so I paid
And paid $1200 to fix the damages which the driver admitted and I have on camera. They did say they require drivers to have insurance - but thats not true either.
Absolutely avoid this company. Dishonest and unethical.

In December, EverSafe assembled a building for us in Punta Gorda, Florida, with sales representation from their Florida office. Unfortunately, this has turned out to be the most frustrating experience we've ever encountered.
One moment, they are identifying as EverSafe; the next, as Carolina Carports. After they left, the job was not completed, and many components were executed poorly. The workmanship was performed by workers who were not only unqualified but also presumably undocumented, as they could not speak English and lacked proper identification. They worked without hard hats or safety glasses, putting in 15-16 hour days with inadequate lighting on their helmets, which hindered their ability to see the subpar work they were leaving behind.
Issues included overtightened bolts and improperly sized door openings. Despite our requests for them to stop and correct their mistakes, they abruptly left the site, taking some of the steel with them. Now, four months later, no one from EverSafe or Carolina Carports has come to address the numerous deficiencies, which have resulted in thousands of dollars in repair costs that we must now cover with other contractors. At no point has anyone from EverSafe or Carolina Carports visited the site to assess the poor workmanship and the state in which the building was left.
We urge everyone to be cautious; it feels like a shell game, with each company looking to pass the buck. They are now sending emails attempting to collect the final payment on a building that is incomplete and for which they have not even supplied all the necessary materials. We have submitted our repair bill to them, detailing the costs incurred to fix the building. Yet, we find that EverSafe and Carolina Carports do not match in terms of address or accountability.
Additionally, a third-party insulation crew sent to install materials did not possess the necessary Florida license to perform their work. We are deeply concerned about the lack of responsiveness from these companies, which seems focused solely on collecting their last payment rather than resolving the issues at hand. This situation is unacceptable, and we believe it should not be allowed to continue.
We advise everyone to steer clear of EverSafe Buildings and Carolina Carports. Our attempts to settle this matter amicably appear futile, and we may be forced to pursue legal action.

Quick to take a deposit slow to actually do what they say, now they have my money and constantly throw another step on me as to why they haven't completed the job. Was told they handle everything until after several months of waiting on them they now claim they have been waiting on me to pull permits.
I was very clear up front I pay for job you do job, simple right.
I do not pull permits and never have had to before. I've done 3 roof jobs siding and had a similar shed by another company I should have used again before...again never pulled a permit myself or had septic approval needed or any of these steps.

Their customer service intake is horrible. They will not give you info on possible deposit refunds.
They never return calls. They are constantly making excuses for delays.
They keep passing the buck on inquiries. They either are incompetent or they just running scams to collect deposits with no intent to perform a service nor install a building.

Verified ReviewerDelayed I stallation
Paid deposits on TWO buildings in October and still waiting for installation. Scheduled, rescheduled, postponed and today, canceled and no reschedule.
They claimed they could not get to the job site for snow which is a bald faced lie. Yeah, LIE. Our road, drive and job site are clear. I have photographic proof.
Then the rep said another load was on the truck on top of ours.
I dont perceive that as MY problem and certainly not a reason to delay my installation AGAIN.
We have rearranged our schedules to be home, they have wasted our valuable ti
E.
We are too deep money wise into this mess and only want our buildings installed OR a FULL refund. With interest since youve had OUR money for 4 months.

Verified ReviewerExtremely poor customer service!!
The crew that installed my building was great however management was horrible. I got the run around for 3 months before finally getting a crew out.
My original cashier check expired so I ended up having to spend extra unnecessary money because of it. Kept calling and explaining that the check was on good for 90 days but management didnt seem to care about that
User's recommendation: Don’t get Carolina Carport, Inc if you are expecting good customer service.

Verified ReviewerComplete failure with no support
30 X 55 car port collapsed during Hurricane Ian. Rated for 170mph and they state that is only for a 3 second microburst, not a sustained wind. There was never a wind, short or long, that exceeded 170mph in our area.
- Fast delivery
- Will not withstand or honor the certification

Steel carport collapse under 2 ft snow.
I purchased this a 14 x 20 carport with sides done for extra support and Carolina Carports installed it 15 years ago when they serviced California. We got 2 ft of snow last week and it collapsed.
I called them and they said since they no longer service California they voided all the warrantees and they would not help me in anyway. Being concerned about someone getting killed under a weak structure like this I have gone public.
My GF and I were under the carports when e saw it begin to crack and buckled and we ran out and within 2 seconds in collapsed with our trailer and tools and personal belongings under it. we lost everything.

Verified Buyer |Inferior Quality Product and Warranty
Carolina Carports installed the RV Cover pictured below less than six years ago. (See Photo of Receipt).
The support structure of their inferior quality products has totally failed, and they refuse to cover any of the excessively rusted out galvanized components under their 20 Year 12 gauge steel warranty. Based on the excessive amount of deterioration as pictured, Carolina Carports steel components began failing soon after it was installed.
User's recommendation: Research and use a reputable company that uses high quality components and stands behind their products.
Construction and Repair Expert Talks
They're Customer service is the worst I've had.
I would not recommend this company. We had two buildings built at the same time.
One of the installation crews was good, the other was horrible. One of the buildings has been leaking since new. The other buildings factory doors have never operated correctly since new, on top of everything being out of square, poor quality metal cuts and fitment. The sales team was very nice until paid in full.
We were informed it was no problem to install our own insulated doors when ordering. Once the building was complete we were informed that if we installed our doors, the building warranty would be voided. They have every possible way to void your warranty. I am a state certified commercial/Residential General Contractor.
Carolina Carports quality and service is subpar at best. I highly recommend ANY other company than Carolina Carports. They we're kind enough to enlighten us, that they install over 50,000 structures a year.
They have no need to be concerned with my future business. I will be sharing this with others to help avoid this construction catastrophe, lack of professionalism and poor investment.

Metal building 26x40
Carolina Carports is THE WORST company we have ever dealt with. Our building didnt pass inspection due to fasteners didnt meet specs.
It has taken 4 months to get this resolved. They say theyre sending crew in 2 weeks. Dont show, dont call, get put back on list for another 2 wk wait, on and on. The problem was never really corrected, just a quick fix letter from engineer stating it was ok.
Still have leaks after 2 trips to fix these.
It least we only have 2 leaks now instead of 16!!!Save your $ and time and MUCH frustration.. do not deal with Carolina Carports!!
User's recommendation: Steer clear of this company
